I am a Counselling Psychologist working in the Silver Lakes Golf Estate in Pretoria. Although I have been trained in multiple approaches, I specialize working Systemically from a Narrative therapy and Social Constructionism point of departure. I favour these approaches as they have proved to work with a broad range of problems of varying severity. However, I am not restricted to work within and have experience in many therapeutic approaches therefore I tailor these towards the best possible assistance of my clients.<\/p>\n

I am a mother of two school going children. The systemic nature of families creates the awareness of family functioning as parts making up the whole. Therefore I actively work towards focusing on the family as a whole.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n

I was a lecturer at the University of Pretoria from 2003-2014. I lectured on the professional Master training programmes as well as on the BPsych and Undergraduate programmes. I trained the Masters in Counselling Psychology students in Multiculturalism, Psychometric Assessment, Supervision and Case management and supervised numerous Masters Dissertations in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. I have acted, and still do, as an external examiner for many universities in South Africa. I have also acted as an article reviewer for leading psychology Journals.<\/p>\n

Outside of UP, I have conducted workshops at Vista Psychiatric Clinic and at other smaller institutions such as local clinics and schools.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n
